99acres.com Boosts Customer Engagement Using Video Marketing with OutSmart

99acres.com is India’s leading realty portal. It is a platform for real estate buyers, sellers and brokers to exchange information effectively and economically.  

It offers sellers and buyers the opportunity to advertise a property, search for a property, browse through properties, and build their own property microsite, making it a compelling lead generation tool for sellers and brokers. This case was when real tech was at the cusp of a breakthrough. 99acres.com is a trailblazer in this space. 

Challenge

At the time of the project commencement, 99acres.com had text listings, which limited buyers’ understanding of the property. Sellers lost potential customers because they could not physically take every interested individual customer to the property. 

99acres.com is a trailblazer in the realtech industry. They saw the opportunity to offer all stakeholders a better way to showcase the property,  improving customer experience and thereby, conversion. They enhanced the visual experience to video experience. This would save the sellers and buyers hours in evaluating and visiting the property.  With this, only serious buyers were engaged.  

To achieve this, they planned to outsource the pilot project.  They developed a team of partners across India to create a library of videos of all listed properties across key cities. OutSmart was selected as one of the agencies. 

Solution

  • OutSmart was the video partner agency for 99acres.com in Bangalore. The studio team was set up to cover the entire pre-production, production and post-production.  
  • Workflow was documented for delivering at scale. 
  • The entire process of buying, selling or renting property became simplified.  
    • People could explore new flats, apartment complexes, localities and amenities listed, virtually.  
    • Important and relevant facts such as distance of the property from hospitals, schools, hotels, police stations, bus stops- that would otherwise have been unavailable without visiting the property, were documented and presented to potential customers.  
    • Both buyers and sellers benefited from the project as they could make decisions based on real-life videos and the information provided without having to physically visit the site. 
  • Our team created more than 750 videos.
